Suzie Rose singing "Losing" Fantastic voice and lovely chords/notes chosen. For some reason reminds me of a number of female artists yet still completely origiinal and moving |

Excerpt from "Where My Book Was Born" by Carolyn M. Kleefeld
"...
This house is a manger
Its honesty is sacred-
the innocence found in birth
No other place have i been born - so many times,
added so much life to my life
There's a symphonic coalescence
between the pulse of my streams
and the seas outside
My dynamics claim the freedom
the abandon born of the gypsy wind
The untamed gardens of the sea
offer me a palatial everchanging playground
The tides landscape these nomadic gardens endlessly
The plasma of the sea gives without loss
Gifting me with waterfalls
that cascade inside me into ideas-
pools of imagination to swim in
..."

Brains, know-how and Native intelligence

The second episode of Northern Exposure reminded me of something important;
"To catch a fish, you must be the fish.
To fix the sauna, you must be the sauna"
Wise words from the Medicine man to the Doctor.

K-PAX moment

Dr. Mark: Prot, it’s one thing to take an interest in your fellow patients, it’s quit another to make them think that you can cure them.
Prot: You seem overly upset, Mark. To borrow a phrase from Navarro You need to chill. For your information, Mark, all beings have the capacity to cure themselves, Mark. That’s something that we’ve known on K-PAX for millions of years.
Mark: Listen to me. I’m a doctor, you’re a patient.
Prot: Doctor, patient, curious human distinction.
Mark: It’s not your job to cure Howie or Ernie or Maria or anyone else, it’s mine.
Prot: Then why haven’t you cured them yet?
